Passing it on · Chapter 23

Versions and the bin

On a board that many people work on, something is soon moved or gone. So nexcanvas keeps earlier states, and anything deleted waits in the bin for a while.

Versions

While a board is being worked on and has changed, nexcanvas keeps a state every 30 minutes. Each board keeps up to 60 of them; older ones nexcanvas thins out to one per day.

1. Open Versions in the board's menu.
2. Choose a state and click Bring back.
3. Confirm with Yes, bring back.

Bringing back is an entirely ordinary change. Everyone who has the board open sees it at once, and anyone who changes their mind brings back the state before in the same way. Anyone with the Read right may look, but only those who may write can bring one back.

The bin

A board you put into the bin stays there for 30 days. You find it in the top bar under Files, in the Bin section, with Restore and Delete for good. After that nexcanvas clears it away by itself.

Whole spaces have their own bin under Settings, Spaces, Spaces in the bin, also for 30 days.
