Annotating PDFs

In nexcanvas a PDF doesn't lie on the board as a silent file but as a page that you can read and write on, like a printout on the table.

Putting a PDF on the board

Drag the PDF onto the board or upload it through Photo, file or link. It appears with its first page. With the arrows Previous page and Next page you turn the pages, and the download icon fetches the whole file.

Making notes

Take the Pen or the Highlighter and draw on the page. Every stroke belongs to exactly the page you made it on. If you turn to another page, it disappears, and when you come back, it is there again. If you move the PDF or make it bigger, the notes go with it.

Cora saysThe paper of a PDF stays white, even when you have set nexcanvas to dark. That is why the colour Automatic draws on a PDF page in dark ink instead of white.

Shown safely

nexcanvas draws PDFs with pdf.js and runs none of the scripts that might be hidden in a file. If you delete the PDF from the board, its notes go with it.
