Look and settings
Most settings apply to your account and follow you to every device. You find them in the account menu under Settings.
Light or dark
The switch in the top bar changes between Dark, Light and As the system. The same is under Settings, Look, Light or dark. This choice applies to the browser in which you make it; on a phone the switch is in the account menu.
Language
In the account menu under Language or under Settings, General, Language of the interface. You can choose German, English and any language the operator has added. Your account remembers your choice.

Look
Under The board you use Dots on the board to decide how boards without a background of their own look. You set a background for a single board in the board itself, see Snapping and background.
What's new
After an update, nexcanvas shows a notice once with See what's new. Behind it is what has been added and, under Where:, where you find it. You can read it again later under About nexcanvas in the account menu.
