Shapes and templates · Chapter 16
Your own shape packages
Your company's logo, your club's symbols, the gadgets in your basement. Whatever the shipped packages do not have, you add as a package of your own.
Where you manage packages
- For one space: Settings, Spaces, then Shape packages at the space. Whoever manages the space may do this. All members of the space see the shapes.
- For everyone on the server: Settings, Server, Shape packages. Only the operator may do this. In the shape library these packages carry the tag “Server”.
Creating and filling a package
- Create: Enter a name under New package and click Create.
- Add SVG: Choose one or more SVG files. Each one becomes a shape.
- Check: The shapes appear in the package. Whatever does not fit, you remove one by one.
From the board into a package
If you have drawn something on a board that you need more often, select it and choose Save as shape with the right mouse button. You give it a name and pick a package of the space, or straight away create a new one called “Own shapes”.
Cora saysA shape takes outlines and strokes. Texts, photos and frames stay out, and afterwards the shape has one fill colour, which you choose as for any other shape.
Switching on and off, passing on
With the On switch you hide a package without deleting it. Download gives you a file that you upload again on another nexcanvas with Import file. Remove deletes the package; shapes that already lie on boards stay there as they are.
Limits
A space and the server can each have up to 50 packages, a package up to 500 shapes, and a package file may be 2 MB in size. From each file nexcanvas only accepts drawing elements and never scripts.
