Pen, highlighter and eraser
Some things a quick sketch says better than any box. For that nexcanvas has a pen, a highlighter and an eraser.
The pen
Choose the Pen (key P) and draw. A second click on the tool opens three widths and the colours. If you draw with a stylus on a tablet, the stroke gets thicker the harder you press. With a mouse or a finger, nexcanvas still gives the stroke some life, as if it had pressure.
The highlighter
You find the Highlighter (key M) in the same choice as the pen. It draws a broad, half-transparent stroke that you use to mark what matters without covering it up.
The eraser
The Eraser (key E) removes strokes you drag over, always one whole stroke at a time. It leaves notes, shapes and texts alone, and you delete those as usual with Delete. If you caught too much, Ctrl + Z brings it back.
Cora saysOnce you let go, a drawing is a thing like any other. You can select it, move it, make it bigger, turn it and group it with others.
On a PDF
If you draw on the page of a PDF, the stroke belongs to exactly that page. The chapter Annotating PDFs explains this.
