My account

At the top right of the top bar sits your picture. A click opens the account menu, and in it My account leads to four tabs: Profile, Security, Connections and Shapes.

Profile

The Display name is the name others see on your pointer and in lists. If it stays empty, your user name is shown there. With Upload a picture you set a profile picture; nexcanvas crops it square and takes out place and device.

Changing your password

Your current password, the new one twice, at least twelve characters, then Change password. All other browsers are signed out when you do.

Second factor

  1. Click Set up. A QR code and a key to type in appear.
  2. Scan the QR code with an app for one-time codes.
  3. Enter the six-digit code and your password.
  4. Keep the eight recovery codes safe with Copy or Save as file and confirm with I have them. They appear only this one time.

After that your password alone opens nothing any more. If your phone is gone, you sign in with a recovery code. When they run low, nexcanvas tells you, and with New recovery codes you get new ones.

Sign-in provider and other browsers

If the operator has set up a sign-in provider, you link your account with Link with the provider. Sign out everywhere else ends all sessions except the one you are sitting in, say after you have lost a phone.

Connections and Shapes

Under Connections you create API tokens, more on that in the chapter API tokens. Under Shapes you hide packages in the shape library, see The shape library.
